Dr. Delaney Wickramage is an accomplished medical professional, specializing in podiatric medicine. With an impressive educational background and a passion for research, Dr. Wickramage has made significant contributions to the field of anti-malarial drug research. 

Born and raised in Kensington, Maryland, Dr. Wickramage developed an early interest in the sciences. After graduating from Washington Christian Academy, she pursued her educational journey at James Madison University, where she completed her undergraduate studies. During this time, her fascination with marine biology, parasitology, and immunology drove her towards a career in research.

Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Wickramage enrolled in the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) program at Temple University in Philadelphia. Through this program, she gained comprehensive knowledge and skills in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of foot and ankle disorders. Her dedication to the field of podiatry led her to undertake surgical residency training at Main Line Health’s Podiatric Surgical Residency Program, where she honed her expertise in trauma surgery, reconstructive surgery, emergency medicine, and diabetic foot care.

Throughout her academic and professional journey, Dr. Wickramage has exhibited a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others. In her free time, she enjoys a wide range of hobbies, including playing volleyball, soccer, and softball. She also finds solace in activities such as surfing, painting, and reading. Driven by a sense of adventure, she loves exploring new places, indulging in culinary experiences, and savoring fine wines.

Not only is Dr. Wickramage dedicated to her medical career, but she is also deeply committed to giving back to the community. She actively volunteers for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, providing housing solutions for those in need, and engages in after-school tutoring at CPC. Additionally, she has been involved with Bethesda Projects Our Brothers Place, CVIM, and Neighborly, where she contributes to fundraising efforts and supports individuals facing various challenges.

In her personal life, Dr. Wickramage finds joy in the companionship of her beloved chocolate lab, Truffle. Furthermore, she aspires to foster animals for local shelters in the future, extending her love and care to those in need.
