Dr. Kevin Short, a dedicated podiatric surgeon, hails from Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he was born and raised. His journey in foot care began during his high school and collegiate years as a football player, fueling his passion for the field.

Dr. Short’s pursuit of knowledge led him to graduate from Emmaus High School in 2001. He continued his education at Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2005. During his time at Susquehanna University, he further developed his interest in foot care and solidified his commitment to pursuing a career in podiatric medicine.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Short attended Drexel University for graduate school before enrolling in Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. Throughout his time at Temple, he actively participated in various clubs and organizations, broadening his understanding of the field and honing his clinical skills.

To gain specialized training and expertise, Dr. Short completed his residency at JFK Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. This comprehensive three-year program exposed him to a wide variety of foot and ankle procedures, with a particular emphasis on major reconstructive surgeries. He received training in correcting conditions such as flatfoot, cavus foot, and Charcot deformity. The program also provided extensive experience in foot and ankle trauma, wound care, and limb salvage. Dr. Short’s training also covered the correction of bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, and general foot and ankle arthritic conditions.

After nearly a decade of dedicated education and training, Dr. Short is excited to return to his hometown and contribute to the community. He is eager to establish his practice, providing exceptional foot and ankle care to the people of Allentown. Dr. Short’s passion for his work and his commitment to the well-being of his patients make him an invaluable member of the community.
